Carrie Henrichs is a December 2016 graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a music performance degree on bassoon. In addition, she plays all of the woodwinds and has traveled to different locations around the world performing, like Europe, Louisiana, and Florida to name a few. You may also find her singing at area churches and being on the stage in musicals mostly in the Highland area where she was raised.
Carrie will be graduating from SIUE in the Fall of 2016 with a degree in Music Performance focusing on bassoon. She has past experience with all woodwinds, but has specifically played flute for 13 years and bassoon for 9 years. Carrie performs frequently with SIUE Wind Symphony and has played with the University Orchestra. Also, she has traveled with the Illinois Music Ambassadors to England, France, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Vienna, and Germany, besides to New Orleans with the SIUE Flute Choir. You may also see her performing piccolo with the E-Band at SIUE’s basketball games either live or on television. In Carrie’s free time she enjoys being on stage in musicals around the area, majority being with the Hard Road Theater in Highland. Besides performing, Carrie has experience teaching large groups of all ages. She has been a camp counselor for SIUE’s Percussion Camp for two years and has taught many classes at her church.
