Guitar Repairs
For as long as Swing City Music has been in business, we’ve had a guitar repair shop. Built from the ground up, we take pride in backing the instruments we sell, and even the ones we don’t. Our in-house Fender, Ibanez, Takamine, & Gibson certified guitar technician’s passion for making sure the tone, quality and precision of your instrument are up to your standards shows every time you check a guitar in for repair. The availability of our tech is also astounding. Giving the customer the ability to call up and talk with him as he works on your guitar makes for a great bridge of communication and allows him to give your instrument exactly what it needs.
Band Instrument and Orchestral Repairs
Swing City has a in-house band repairman. Estimates before work is done will be given upon request. Whether you need a complete re-pad, corks, dent job, or just a cleaning we are here for all your band instrument needs. Swing City Music can also handle your repair needs for violins, violas, cellos, and upright basses.
Electronic & Amp Repairs
Our electronic service center is available for use by all our customers. They generally have a 4 to 6 week turn around on all repairs. You can add a regular rush for an additional $90.00 that guarantees your unit on the bench in 5 business days. Estimate fees & thresholds apply for all types of non-warranty Repairs.
- $45.00 Estimate Fee for small units such as non-vintage analog effects pedals, raw driver speaker recones, raw driver horn diaphragm replacement, unpowered speaker cabinets, etc. If an estimate is requested it will be given only if the total repair cost is greater than $130.00
- $65.00 Estimate Fee for pieces such as guitar amps, bass amps, rack effects units, digital effect pedals, vintage effects pedals, small powered & non-powered mixers(less than 12 mono channels), non console keyboards, synthesizers, powered speakers 10″ or smaller, power amps 250 watts per channel or less, etc.If an estimate is requested it will be given only if the total repair cost is greater than $180.00
- $125.00 Estimate Fee for pieces such as mixing consoles(12-20 mono channels), digital console pianos, power amps 300 watts per channel and up, powered speakers 12″ & larger, ADATS, DAT Recorders, HD Recorders, High End & Vintage Audio products, Vintage Synthesizers (moog, oberheim, prophet, etc.). If an estimate is requested it will be given only if the total repair cost is greater than $300.00
- $250.00 Estimate Fee for pieces such as mixing consoles (Over 20 Mono Channels powered or non-powered), Electronic Organs, Rhodes & Wurlitzer Pianos, Vintage VOX Solid State Amps, BOSE Personal Monitor Systems or any atypical music equipment manufactured by companies that are no longer in business. If an estimate is requested it will be given only if the total repair cost is greater than $700.00
All estimates are approximate and are good for 30 days. Please allow +/- 20% tolerance on each estimate. Estimates DO NOT include any shipping charges for needed parts or for the return shipping of the unit. After 30 days, if no response is made to Swing City Music, the unit will be reassembled and returned to the store. If repairs are requested after this time, the Estimate Fee will be charged again.
