Willoughby Heritage Farm and Conservation Reserve
The Vision
The Edge has one of the largest laser tag battle arenas in the area. With multiple rooms and 3 levels, lighting is key to a safe and exciting battle. The Edge found that some of their UV light was not bringing the set pieces and wall art work to life as much as it could. So The Edge contacted us to bring more color to their main battle room.
Designing the Vision
After a walk through, Swing City Installs determined a minor upgrade to the LED lighting would give The Edge the UV coverage they needed. It was decided to move some of their existing lighting and install additional LED fixtures. We also determined some of the fog machines needed some service while we were there.
Install & Execute the Vision
The upgrade was completed with the addition of four ADJ 12P Hex led light fixtures. Each light was added to the current DMX system chain and programmed to operate with the existing DMX structure. The 12ps were mounted to the structure and aimed to give the most UV coverage. Other smaller UV lights were reconfigured and moved into different areas. The Edge also had three Chauvet 1800 Flex fog machines that were checked and tested.
Customer’s Story
Willoughby Heritage Farm and Conservation Reserve is a public park with an atmosphere inspired by 1940’s farm life, complete with tractors, barns, a 1930’s Craftsman style farm house, and even live animals such as donkeys, a heifer, chickens, and goats! The farm encompasses over 30-acres of wildlife preserve complete with hiking trails, bridges, and vistas overlooking the prairie and other areas. The farm is open daily to the public, and since we’re a public park, admission is free! Come on and explore a little of what life was like in the 1940’s here in Collinsville.
