Fender Player Lead III, Pau Ferro Fingerboard, Metallic Purple

In 1979, in response to high-quality, low-cost import guitars, Fender introduced the Lead Series, which featured a new solid-body construction, hard-tail bridges, and exciting new wiring choices. The sleek new Lead models, which appealed to a wide range of players, heralded the start of a new creative age in Fender’s history.

The Player Lead III, a homage to the original 1982-only model, has a set of hot alnico Player humbucking pickups, dual-toggle pickup selection and coil-split controls, and a contemporary “C” neck design with medium jumbo frets. Purple Metallic, as well as classic Olympic white and Sienna Sunburst, are all available.
